I think most everyone can agree there’s something magical about rainbows. I, myself, always have to capture the memory of one in the sky; extra points for the double ones! One time we saw an upside-down rainbow in Hawaii. It felt like winning the lottery of God’s miracles. I like to think of that moment to remind me of His faithfulness, mercy, and love (Genesis 9:13).
There are many songs about rainbows that echo these themes and the gratitude of finding the beauty. Today’s Ukevember song is “Hawaiian Lullaby”. These lyrics celebrate the beauty of the islands and a spirit of peace and love. I hold on to these lyrics as transferable to moments like in the recording today. I’ve seen rainbows on Hawaii and it’s maginificent to witness!
My daughter wanted to play music with me today. Instead of trying to have a perfect solo video, I invited her to join me. We made a sweet video together and a new memory. A beautiful rainbow for my memory collection!
Lyrics:
Where I live, there are rainbows
with life in the laughter of morning
and starry nights.
Where I live, there are rainbows
and flowers full of color
and birds filled with song.
I can smile when it’s raining
and touch the warmth of the sun
I hear children laughing
in this place that I love.
