Put Your G shape and add a pinky for Em!

We are watching ALL the shows onboard the ship! Last night we saw Mark Preston from The Letterman group. He sang a song that I grew up listening to and LOVED because of the easy singing melody. The kids have heard their Bubby sing this song to them as well. They recognized the song immediately!

The song for today’s Ukevember is also a great example of a shortcut you can use to help with chord transitions. The example in this tune is when you move from G to Em, you can keep your G chord shape, and add your pinky on the 3rd string+4th fret. It makes the transition from one chord to the next easier! You might have to work through the placements of fingers a bit before it feels comfortable.

  1. This is just so cool to follow you along on your journey. What amazing gifts you are giving to each other and to the kids!! We had 25 for breakfast this am at the cabin for the men’s retreat and will be back in PHX tomorrow night. Looking forward to perhaps a FaceTime this week? Love to all Popsie
